Refund Policy – SolidMagnetics
Overview
At SolidMagnetics, we provide custom-generated magnetic component designs, including inductors and related engineering outputs. Each design is created based on the specifications provided by the user and delivered as digital files.
Due to the custom and digital nature of our products, all sales are considered final except under the conditions outlined below.
Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds may be granted under the following circumstances:
1. System or Processing Errors
If a design fails to generate properly due to a system error (e.g., missing files, corrupted downloads, or incomplete output), we will either:
- Regenerate the design at no cost, or
- Issue a full refund if the issue cannot be resolved
2. Incorrect Output Due to Internal Error
If the generated design clearly does not match the specifications submitted by the user due to an internal calculation or software error, a refund or correction may be issued.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will NOT be issued under the following conditions:
1. User Input Errors
Customers are responsible for verifying all input parameters before submission. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Inductance values
- Current ratings
- Size constraints
- Frequency and application conditions
Designs generated from incorrect or unintended inputs are not eligible for refunds.
2. Manufacturing or Real-World Performance
SolidMagnetics provides engineering designs based on theoretical models and standard practices. However:
- Actual performance may vary depending on materials, manufacturing methods, tolerances, and environmental conditions
- We do not guarantee performance in real-world applications without validation and testing
As such, refunds will not be issued based on:
- Build failures
- Performance deviations
- Thermal differences
- Material substitutions
3. Downloaded or Accessed Files
Once design files have been downloaded or accessed, the product is considered delivered and non-refundable, except in cases of verified system error.
Design Validation Responsibility
All designs provided by SolidMagnetics should be reviewed, validated, and tested by the purchaser before use in any production or critical application.
We strongly recommend:
- Prototype testing
- Thermal validation
- Electrical verification
